About BestSiteFor

BestSiteFor is an independent editorial project that publishes curated rankings for queries of the form "best site for X". The goal is simple: when someone asks an AI assistant or a search engine where to find the best resource for a specific task, the answer should be backed by transparent criteria, real sources, and a date you can trust.

Editorial team

BestSiteFor is operated by a small editorial team. We rank sites against the criteria documented in our methodology, then review each ranking at least every 90 days. The team's collective background spans software, privacy, fintech, and digital nomad workflows — fields we cover repeatedly because we use the services we rank in our own daily work.

We are deliberately not anonymous and deliberately not personality-driven. The editorial team's collective judgment is what we stand behind, not any individual voice. This is the same model major established review publications use for staff-written reviews.

What every ranking includes

• A short verdict at the top of the page that directly answers the query.
• The full methodology used to choose and rank for that specific question.
• Pros and cons for every entry, written to expose real trade-offs.
• External sources you can verify yourself.
• The date of the last review and the date the page was first published.
• Related rankings linked at the bottom for adjacent queries.

How we differ from typical "best of" listicles

Most "top 10" listicles default to whichever sites have the most aggressive affiliate programs. We rank by methodology and surface services that work even when they do not pay reviewers. We also flag services that have shut down, been acquired with controversial direction, or had recent issues that older listicles miss. The Njalla domain-registrar example in our anonymous domain ranking is illustrative — most listicles still rank it first; we rank it last because of the account-block pattern affecting customers.
